When I started working out on regular basis, I did what many women do when it comes to workout gear: I wore what I had. Unfortunately, what I had was oversized t-shirts from my college days, t-shirts thrown into the stands during basketball games, and t-shirts purchased by my friends and family during their travels. For example, I had several t-shirts that said, “My Folks Went to Costa Rica and All I Got Was This T-Shirt.”
When I was on my “Operation: Say Yes to The Dress” quest for my wedding, I lost a lot of weight. Therefore, I decided to treat myself with some new workout gear. That gear changed my life. Having the proper workout clothes is important. It helps with movement during exercises, boosts your confidence so that you feel positive about what you are doing, and prevents injury, like wearing the proper shoes for running or proper top for outdoor running in the winter to help circulate blood flow. It also ensures that you wear proper breathable material that wicks away sweat to avoid skin irritation or breakouts from sweating.
So, if you don’t know where to start and want to know what workout gear is good, check out the options below.
