Living and working in the Washington, DC area can ruin the experience of being in such a great city. Sitting in traffic for hours, dealing with pesky bikers and visiting tourist (gawd, it awful sometimes), and having to endure the daily hustle and bustle of your life can make you forget how awesome DC really is and how much fun stuff there is to get into.
For 4th of July this year, I decided to hit downtown DC to remind myself of how amazing this city really is and I must say that I’ve truly enjoyed myself! There is soooo much to do from the free museums that offer a glimpse into America’s history to buildings that house some of the most interesting pieces of art in the world!
I’ve done all sorts of things this weekend from watching the fireworks from inside the Capitol (which was awesome) to making the hike to various memorials and museums. If you’re thinking about visiting Washington, DC anytime soon, check out the pics below to see some of the cool things you can do on your visit here.
