Review: Mrs. Patels For Breastfeeding Mom’s

If you have decided to breastfeed your child allow me to give you a virtual *high five*. Breastfeeding is really not an easy thing to do and as natural as people say it is, it’s not. From the beginning you and your little one are trying to figure out how to latch properly, different holds that work for feeding, and what position is comfortable for you both and it really takes time. When you’re at the hospital and the lactation nurse is working with you it seems like everything is great and then you get home and you panic. At least I did slightly because I really wasn’t sure if my son was getting enough milk. I had all these questions. Is he getting enough milk? Am I producing enough milk? How much milk does he need? Do I need to start pumping? Fortunately I had an awesome lactation consultant that took the time to help me get a grasp on breastfeeding and assured me I was doing a great job! And 6 months later with my 18lb baby, I guess I have been doing something right!

When it was time for me to go back to work I knew that I would have to start pumping more regularly. And while I didn’t have trouble maintaining my milk supply I wanted something that would help me to produce more breastmilk so that I could build up my freezer supply for when my son started daycare. As I was researching lactation solutions, a girlfriend mentioned Mrs. Patel’s products. She told me to check out their Instagram to see their products and I was stunned. It seemed like Mrs. Patel’s products had been helping hundreds if not thousands of women maintain their milk supply. There was review after review of their products and how it helped women who only pumped 1 oz. get to 3-4oz., which in the breastfeeding/pumping world is huuuuuuuge (as Trump would say).

Mrs. Patel’s products are meant to help women heal faster after labor and get your milk flowing. Their Indian Ayurvedic treats and teas are for lactation and postpartum healing which until I had a baby I didn’t realize how much your body needs good supplements to help heal. You use so many different parts of your body during labor that you don’t notice some things until you get home so I really appreciated that Mrs. Patel’s products assisted with postpartum healing.

Mrs. Patel’s offers three delicious products: Fenugreek Bars, Milk Water Tea, and Munch Crunch. Based on the tenets of Ayurveda, their ingredients have been used by nursing mothers in India for thousands of years. Their products are idea for mothers who have recently given birth and those experiencing difficulties with their milk supply.

As I started using Mrs. Patel’s products I saw an increase in my supply almost instantly. I had started out with the bars, chocolate is my fav, and after 2 days of taking them I woke up the next morning with my breast so full of milk that I had to pump asap! And so began my love affair with Mrs. Patel’s products. The fenugreek bars are my favorite. I would eat them even if they weren’t helping me maintain my supply and I really try to limit myself to 1 a day. I tend to sprinkle the Munch Crunch on whatever I’m eating for breakfast or lunch whether it’s a smoothie, or salad. And I like to have the Milk Water Chai Tea in the morning on my way into work. It’s a great flavor and just super yummy!

Using Mrs. Patel’s products I average about 15-20 ounces of pumped breast milk M-F. I pump 3 times a day Monday – Friday, twice at work and once at home. On weekends I pump twice a day and average about 10 ounces a day. I also breastfeed my son on the weekends so that’s part of the reason my numbers are lower. I will also note that I make sure to drink at lest 100 ounces of water a day and make sure to eat a good diet as well because it makes a big difference in my milk production.

So, if you’re looking for a product to increase your milk supply Mrs. Patel’s is definitely worth the money. It’s also great that your first order is 20% off and they have specials all the time with other discounts. I also appreciate the fact that Mrs. Patel’s is a small business and that each batch of products being made are with love and care which preserves the quality of the product. Let me know if you plan to try them!

  • Morning

How do I order the products, I’m going back to work and I’m worried about my Milk supply.

I want to breastfeed for 2 years.

    • Hi Dikeledi! You can order them from their website at They ship pretty quickly which is nice just make sure to transfer them to Tupperware in an air tight container once you get them it helps them stay fresh longer. I would keep half in the fridge and half in the freezer. Hope this helps! If you have any other questions let me know! And good luck on going back to work. I know pumping at work can be a pain so I wish you the best!
