This is one of the most beautiful places on earth, so naturally that only thing you can do for a week here is enjoy the surroundings…and get a massage! Here are five things to do if you find yourself heading to Bora Bora for a week:
If you’re the adventurous type, then hiking up Mount Otemanu will be right up your alley. The tour guides (please use one) offer half day and full day excursions to show you everything from the mountains rich history as a former active volcano to the produce now being produce on this very fertile land. The price is not bad if you consider food is included.
This spot is ideal for all you divers out there. There’s amazing marine life underneath the surface of that beautiful blue water. But be careful, there are tons of larger (and more dangerous) fish lurking about…sharks most notably!
Feeling tired from all that hiking and diving? Take a day to soak up the sun and some much needed relaxation and hit the spa! Almost every hotel that I can think of offers some sort of spa package, so you have plenty of choices and can maybe save a few bucks if you bring the hubby along…this IS WINNING folks!
Boat Tour through Paradise, Please!
Not everyone wants to hike up mountains and swing from trees. For you folks who just want to sit back and enjoy the scenery, taking a boat tour seems like the most logical choice. Boat tours are this islands’ bread and butter, so you will have no trouble finding someone who will whisk you around these beautiful waters.
Eat Something Yummy
One of the coolest things about visiting new places is sample the local fare. Try La Bounty or the Bora Bora Yacht Club, which offers all sorts of French Polynesian inspired dishes and also some traditional American grub for those not interested in trying anything new!
