Need to Shed Some Pounds?

I don’t know about you but I’d be lying if I didn’t say I have tried quite a few different ways to lose weight. From a cabbage soup diet, to a nasty lemonade-maple syrup mixture that Beyonce made famous, I have tried it all. However, in trying to diet and exercise  my weight has fluctuated like many people who struggle with weight loss/management. So, in true JANE fashion I thought I would look into the most popular programs that appear to have worked successfully for people. Check them out below.

Weight Watchers: One of the world’s most popular weight loss companies, Weight Watchers has helped millions achieve their weight-loss goals through a points system that allows participants to know how much to eat by assigning points to food items.

Jenny Craig: This program provides a unique approach to losing weight and offers a personalized fitness plan that incorporates three main standards: engaging in everyday tasks, being more active, and attending the gym.

Medifast: This plan features the 5 & 1 plan. You eat 6 meals a day, which includes 5 medifast meals and I green meal you cook yourself. The plan comes with fitness features, community support, and expert advice.

Nutrisystem: With this plan, you simply select your meals or a customized meal package, and it then arrives on your doorstep. No counting or measuring is involved and you lose weight through diet management.

South Beach Diet: Developed by Dr. Arthur Agaston, a cardiologist, the diet is divided into 3 different phases. These phases help to banish your cravings, reintroduce carbs, and teach you about healthy eating for life.

Zone Diet: Developed Dr. Barry Sears, an American biochemist, whose program is based on keeping insulin levels “in the zone” throughout the day. It is an easy 1-2-3 method that makes sure you get the correct balance of fats, proteins, and carbs to turn on the fat burning zone.
