Who doesn’t love a statement piece of luggage when traveling? For me, having a piece of luggage that I love is one of the highlights of traveling. And since I’m in the market for some new luggage after our “Honeymoon Luggage Mishap,” (which I’ll explain ) I think it’s only right that I pick a few pieces which I think might be suitable. Plus, I have an upcoming cruise to think about so I better know what I want early. Right?!
Honeymoon Luggage Mishap-As my husband and I were on our honeymoon, we brought the luggage we thought was appropriate for our travels. Little did we know that Grecian roads were not to be toyed with. As I pulled my $30 Black Friday Kohl’s Set of luggage along the roads, which were cobble stone and pretty rough, I noticed that my suitcase seemed heavier all of a sudden. What was at first a nice and steady light roll turned a heavy dragging of sorts. I sat it up right to see what was wrong and behold, no wheels. Mind you it was only day 3 of our 13-day honeymoon. Needless to say I switched with my husband and he dragged my suitcase around Greece for the rest of the trip. Which was actually ironic because he encouraged me to purchase the $30 suitcase set in the first place. So moral of the story…cheaper is NOT always better and if you’re a frequent traveler like myself it makes sense to have quality luggage on hand. With that being said, here are a few things to consider when selecting luggage.
