I know what you’re thinking. Who takes kids to NAPA of all places? Well, we did! I’m sure most people (including me pre-kids) are wondering why we would do such a thing. But having kids has definitely changed my perspective on travel A LOT. People told me how much life would change (which it has) but that I would have to kiss my traveling days’ goodbye. So far this year we have managed to travel somewhere every month. In January we went to Massanutten for a little winter escape. In February we went to San Francisco (lots to share). And this month we will be doing New Orleans for my Father In Laws 60th Birthday Bash. So needless to say we are definitely booked up so far.
We started our Napa trip by hitting Rombauer Winery. It was fabulous with, beautiful views, and a crisp Chardonnay. Had a light bite there with a few snacks courtesy of our awesome friends and hosts who came prepared with snacks on snacks on snacks.
We made a quick stop at the Castello di Amorosa just for Tristan to run around a bit. We didn’t end up touring this winery but will definitely try to go back.
Our last stop was to the lovely Clos Du Val. We fell in love with this place on our first visit to Napa. The only thing you need to know about this place is that the Pinot Noir is everything! I wish I took more pics of the family while we were there but I’m glad I have these few for keepsakes. Just know that if you’re thinking about taking a trip to Napa and you have a couple of crumb snatchers, just bring them along for the ride! And if they start to work your nerves just sip on that glass of wine you have, wine makes everything better.
