I can’t tell you the last time I read a book for enjoyment. A few years ago, I resolved to read one book a month to keep my mind fresh and engaged, but that lasted all of three months. The fact that I gave up so quickly shocked me as I use to read about everything from world politics to a murder mystery set in a small town. I use to hang out with friends and discuss books over dinner and wine. One of the best books I’ve ever read to help me understand Government and America’s role in the world, Rise to Globalism: American Foreign Policy Since 1938, is still a solid read for anyone who’s into that sort of thing. If not, I can’t blame you, I can barely make it to page 5 of a book without forgetting what I’ve read or losing my conviction to even jump into a story of any kind.
