Inspiration is a funny thing. You either have it or you don’t. And when you don’t have it, it can be the most frustrating thing in the world. You might be thinking – maybe I just don’t have it anymore or maybe I was never really that creative to begin with.
Well I’m here to tell you that’s not true! We all have our moments where life’s little distractions get in the way and stops our creative juices from flowing. If you find yourself in this position, maybe you just need a change of scenery or to take a step back in order to get your mind back in the game.
If you find yourself struggling to work on your latest project, here are a couple things you should do:
Just Do It
This one may seem obvious, but there’s really no getting around it. Sometimes you just have to settle in and make yourself and work on a project. Whether it’s a boring project that you have to breathe some life into or something exciting and you just don’t know where to start – making a little progress is better than nothing at all, right?
Figure Out Your “Prime Time”
Some people do their best work in the morning. Others come to life in the evenings. Figure out what your most productive hours are and schedule time each day towards working on your project.
There are so many people out there doing amazing things. There are folks just like you with too much on their plates and yet they still manage to kick ass and take names. Just hearing how others manage to do it all, get stuff done, and produce quality work is sometimes enough to get your own juices flowing again.
Getting that spark back when you have so many obligations can be hard, but remember to take time for yourself and you’ll be back in the saddle getting it done in no time.
