In anticipation of my next trip-going stateside to Orlando, Florida-I’m going to share with you one of the easier ways I manage to have such a relaxing travel experience without spending more on my trip than the next person. Now, I have numerous ways of scoring a luxurious travel experience and it depends on where I am going (within the states or abroad), but this tip can be used regardless of the destination. So if you are wondering if should you travel First Class or Business? Then keep on reading.
One of my favorite things to do is look at a map and pick the next cool and exotic place to visit. Unfortunately, these types of places require lengthy layovers and long in-air flight times. I have had an American Express Credit Card for years and years now so I’m used to using all the perks they give to their customers. In this case, to make traveling easier on myself, I use my Delta Skymiles American Express card (FYI- no one paid me to say this) to score free upgrades and perks to maintain some level of inner peace on long trips. With my card, I can upgrade my ticket to first class (thanks to my skypoints), jump to the head of the line instead of waiting to board a flight, or gain access to the Sky Lounge at no additional charge for up to two guests. Keep in mind that this perk is for Delta Reserve Card and AMEX Black Card members only-other Skymile cardholders pay a fee. Another awesome perk is that I don’t have to worry about paying a gazillion dollars for my checked bags as my first one is free (and free for up to nine other guests)!
The AMEX Skymiles Card is a credit card, so you would have to apply and get approved. However, if you’re approved, you can start hanging out in the Sky Lounge and traveling first class without paying a penny more.
