Do You Have Allergies?

Have your eyes itched more lately? Have you found yourself sneezing or having a runny nose more frequently? Have you felt any type of head or ear pressure? Perhaps you have a cough that seems to flare up here and there. All the above symptoms are signs of seasonal allergies. The reason some may get them confused with having a cold is that the symptoms are similar. The only difference is, allergies can last 6-8 weeks or more; whereas, a typical cold is 3-14 days. As I have increased in age, it seems that my allergies have worsened and only become more intense as the years goes on. In past years, I only needed allergy medication during the spring/summer months, but of late, I have had issues in the fall as well. I say all this because many times people do not think they have allergies when having allergies is actually quite common. With all of the pollution and pesticides that are floating around in the air these days, it’s pretty hard not to catch something.  So, if you are unsure of what your itchy eyes, or cough might mean, check out this simple diagnosis chart below to help you figure things out. Hope this helps!
