Best Brunch in Washington, DC Part 1

1. Agora

brunch

This hotspot is located near the Dupont Circle area and offers a wide variety of brunch selections. For $33 you can have yourself unlimited drinks and one of the delicious Mediterranean-style meals. I’m more of a traditional girl and will happily order the eggs Benedict with my Bloody Mary! Not into the traditional brunch cocktail? This place is so amazing that they let you order the hard stuff (gin, vodka, and more)…vodka and orange juice sounds like the perfect drink to sip on at brunch, right?

2. Boqueria

brunch

Boqueria is one of my favorite places for two reasons: their bacon is delicious (very important stuff) and their Patatas Bravas will change your life! If you’re not into trying one of the restaurant’s creations, they do offer an a la carte menu that hosts the usual suspects like pancakes and omelets. For $39, you can have unlimited brunch tapas, drinks, and sweets! Not a bad deal for unlimited drinks and delicious food located close to Dupont Circle Metro!!!

3. Carlyle Restaurant

brunch

Carlyle is located in Shirlington ,Virginia, just 10 minutes outside of DC. This place has one of the best French toast meals I’ve ever had!!!!!!!!! Their brioche French toast is served with eggs, bacon, and home fries. Carlyle’s home fries are delicious, one of the best I’ve had at a restaurant, and we have to have a moment of silence for those delicious morsels of bread they deliver to the table called Ozzie rolls. Moment of silence starting now…ok, I’m back. If French toast isn’t for you, they offer salads (small and large), filet mignon, smoked salmon and more! This place really does offer a well-balanced menu and has something for everyone!

4. District Commons

district commons

Bottomless bloody marys or mimosas, anyone? $16 will get you an unlimited amount of one of those two drinks and an entrée (in the interest of full disclosure, there’s a 2 hour limit on the unlimited drinks)! District Commons offers a great menu that’s filled with a good number of choices even for the pickiest of customers. My personal favorites are the huevos rancheros and brick pressed chicken. This place literally has so many delicious choices that it is impossible to leave with an empty stomach and the best part of it all is that it’s close to the Foggy Bottom Metro station…no drinking and driving, please!

5. Drafting Table

brunch

Rounding out my list is a place that is known for its delicious beer options, DC’s very own Drafting Table located close to Dupont Metro! One of the things I love about this place is that they truly have some of the most delicious and inventive food and drink options in the city. I’m obsessed with their Draftsman’s burger, Snickers pie and Dickel n’ Cider drink, which is basically an Angry Orchard with Whiskey in it. Does that not sound like the perfect meal, dessert and drink combo? You have to try that cider drink at least once when you go…I’m serious!

I digress…Drafting Table is an amazing brunch choice because they also have more traditional choices like French Toast and other breakfast offerings. The best part…their brunch starts at 10 am and not 11:30 am like a lot of other places in the city…and that my friends is WINNING!
