ANN’S Trend Pick: Studded Flats

I’m really loving the whole studded flats craze this season. You can pair studded flats with jeans, a simple crew neck tee, and a blazer and you’ll have a great casual look for shopping or lunch with the girls. I’ve definitely seen a wide variety of studs (some big and small) on everything from sandals to heels. I tend to gravitate towards the smaller studs in neutral or classic tones because I think they are most likely to stand the test of time. If big studs are your thing…then go for it! But, I think there’s something classic about the Jimmy Choo Welda Studded Ballerina flats that are currently on sale at Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom. Now, the retail price ain’t no joke…so if I may do a little look-for-less for you…an inexpensive version of this shoe would have larger studs on them and far more affordable. The best version of the Jimmy Choo studded flat can be found at Torrid.com.

Torrid’s version of this trend retails for about $19.99 (not including taxes)…a small fraction of the $550 Jimmy Choo price tag. So as long as you keep an eye out for quality brands, you should be able to get the same look for WAY less. I will be shopping for my next pair of studded flats this weekend. Be sure to check in and see what I ended up with!

Happy shoe hunting, ladies!

  • Studded or un-studded I love flats! I often get joked on because I don’t like wearing heels, but whatever. Yes, heels make your calf muscles stronger, give the illusion of an elongated leg, and give you that va-va-va-voom appeal but they tear my feet up! I love to dance and wearing heels isn’t fun to do that in, that’s why I am so excited that there are trendier flats in season.

Thanks for the tip about Torrid!

    • Heels tear my feet up too! I’m a flats girl all the way and I think it’s great that current trends point towards dressing up the classic flat to make it fun for girls like us to wear. Be sure to let JANE and I know what shoe trends you’re noticing this season. -ANN
