A+J 28 Day Smoothie Challenge

As Ann and I are on our #nofatinparadise mission, we have decided to embark on a   28-Day smoothie/juice detox for the month of February 2014. Now this will not be your traditional smoothie detox. Many people who do something like this limit themselves to only smoothies or juice for the entire time. But, being that Ann and I are new to this and wanted to make a plan that we thought we could stick with, we came up with the following:


  • Breakfast – Smoothie or Juice
  • Snack – Fruit or Veggies or Greek Yogurt or Nuts
  • Lunch – Smoothie or Juice
  • Snack – Fruit or Veggies or Greek Yogurt or Nuts
  • Dinner – Protein, Veggies

On paper it looks simple, but I’m sure once we get in there it might be a little more difficult. I don’t know about you, but I typically like to chew my food so being limited to one meal a day should be interesting. Hopefully, our husbands can tolerate us during this time and we’re not too grouchy.

Spinach-Strawberry-Mango Smoothie Recipe

  • 2 cups Mango
  • 1 cup Strawberries
  • 1 cup Coconut Water
  • ¼ cup Quick Oats
  • 2 Tbsp. Flax Seeds
  • Handful Spinach

Blend spinach and coconut water first. Add/blend the rest and enjoy.
